Coach Information

Anyone interested in coaching the 2009/2010 season, please go to PSAHockey.com and fill out and submit a coach application form to Derek Frost, PSA President, at Dw.frost@telus.net

All coaches are required to have the required certification by Dec 31 of season they are coaching.

Registration for 2009/2010 season will commence late September. Registration details will be posted as soon as they are available.  Please check back to http://www.eshootsescores.com/coach.htm.

In Calgary, NCCP training is a mandatory requirement for coaches of teams registered and playing within Hockey Calgary. Official HC rules and regulations state each team is required to have at least one certified coach on the bench at every league, exhibition and HC sanctioned tournament game and every team practice. It is highly recommended at least one alternate coach on each team is NCCP certified as during the hockey season, the designated NCCP coach may not be able to perform his duties due to illness, suspension or other personal reasons.

According to the rules and regulations set out by HC:

"At registration, Community Associations and AA Quadrants must provide a list containing each team to be registered and the coach that has their Coach Level or higher by December 31st of the current year. The appropriate authority from the Community Association or AA Quadrant must sign the list. TEAMS WILL NOT BE REGISTERED UNLESS A COACH ASSIGNED TO THE TEAM HAS THEIR COACH LEVEL OR HIGHER, OR IS REGISTERED IN A CREDITED PROGRAM TO RECEIVE THEIR COACH LEVEL OR HIGHER PRIOR TO DECEMBER 31ST."
